Prof Dr Shailendra Shrestha

Prof Dr Shailendra Shrestha has nearly 25 years of clinical experience and is competent nephrologist and renal transplant physician. He completed DM Nephrology from Institute of Medicine, Maharajgunj in 2013. He has worked in several reputed hospitals and is presently associated with B & B hospital as Senior Consultant Nephrologist and Renal Transplant Physician, beside Medex Multispecialty Clinic & Diagnostic Center.

He also completed training training on vascular access creation and continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) fellowship. In addition, he did his fellowship on renal transplantation at Monash Medical Centre, Australia. His special interest and expertise are interventional Nephrology and Transplant Nephrology. He independently performs surgical creation of arteriovenous fistulas and do percutaneous CAPD catheter insertions.

  • Two months of clinical training in continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) at Tung Wah Hospital, Hong Kong, China, under Dr Wai Kei Lo, under International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD) Asian chapter scholarship, in 2009.
