Fractional Exhaled Nitric Oxide (FeNO)

Fractional Exhaled Nitric Oxide (FeNO)

Fractional Exhaled Nitric Oxide (FeNO) testing, a specialized diagnostic tool used to measure the levels of nitric oxide in a patient's exhaled breath. FeNO testing is particularly useful in assessing airway inflammation and diagnosing or monitoring asthma, especially in patients with suspected eosinophilic airway inflammation.

During FeNO testing, patients breathe into a handheld device that analyzes the concentration of nitric oxide in their breath. Elevated FeNO levels indicate increased airway inflammation, which is characteristic of conditions such as allergic asthma. This information helps our pulmonologist/physician tailor treatment plans, monitor response to therapy, and adjust medications accordingly.

FeNO testing at Medex is conducted with precision and accuracy using advanced equipment and protocols. We prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure, ensuring clear instructions and support during the test.
