Dr Bishow Shrestha

Dr Bishow Shrestha has extensive experience of nearly 25 years in medical field and has worked in various reputed hospitals. Currently he is Executive Chairman of Medex Multispecialty Clinic & Diagnostic Center. He is also associated with Vayodha hospital as Director of Critical Care Medicine and Senior Consultant Physician, Pulmonologist, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Specialist. He graduated from B P Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in 2001 and received his postgraduate degree (MD, Internal Medicine) from NAMS, Bir Hospital. After working as internist for several years, he did 3 years of Residential Academic Fellowship in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine (FPCCM) from Chitwan Medical College.

Apart from this, he has several other trainings and fellowships to his credit; Training in Interventional Pulmonology from Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune (under Dr Amir Khoja) and Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Center, Delhi (under Dr Rajiv Goyal), Training in Endobronchial Ultrasound from Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital, Shanghai (under Dr Ye Gu), Fellowship in Intensive Care Medicine (FIMV), Fellowship in Mechanical Ventilation (FIMV), Fellowship in Echocardiography, International Diploma in Extracorporeal Life Support and many more.

He has keen interest in Interventional Pulmonology and Critical Care Medicine. He bears expertise in diagnosis and management of Infectious Diseases including Pulmonary Infections and Tuberculosis, Acute Respiratory Failure including ARDS, ILDs, Bronchial Asthma and Allergy, COPD, Occupational Lung Diseases, Bronchiectasis, Pleural Diseases, Pulmonary Vascular Diseases, Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and pulmonary rehabilitation among others.
