Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT)

A Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) is a group of tests used to evaluate how well one’s lungs are working. This test measures various aspects of lung function, including the volume of air one can inhale and exhale, and how efficiently oxygen and carbon dioxide are exchanged.

PFT includes several assessments of lung function which includes Spirometry, Lung Volume Measurement, Diffusion Capacity, Peak Expiratory Flow (PEF), Bronchial Provocation Test The results from these tests can help in diagnosing lung diseases, assessing the severity of lung problems, and monitoring the effectiveness of treatments.
